Our sustainability efforts are split into 3 categories A Smart Future, Regen, and Smart Cycle
Our commitment to the environment and sustainability projects are ongoing and remain at the forefront of everything that we do.
Environmental responsibility in business refers to our commitment to minimising the negative impact on the natural environment and promoting sustainable practices. We’ve collaborated with Carbon Neutral Britain to help us not only decrease our carbon emissions but also explore strategies for offsetting the emissions we’ve generated.
Organisations analyse their sustainability practices against environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. sustainability initiatives include improving energy management efficiency through alternative power sources and carbon accounting, deploying infrastructure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, preserve water resources, and eliminate waste.
There are several elements we have considered when making a conscious effort to reduce our carbon emissions as a business:
- Emission Sources: We have recognised the sources of our emissions and calculated their amount. This information has assisted us to be able to offset our carbon emissions with Carbon Neutral Britain.
- Reductions Plan: Establishing stopgap goals while pursuing net zero. We, together with our factory and other important firms we collaborate with, are undoubtedly headed towards a sustainable future in order to contribute to environmental preservation.
- Switch to green energy: When we moved to our Terrington St Clement Site in February 2022, we switched our energy tariff to a green tariff. In our new premises we have air source heating, compared to conventional gas boilers, air source heat pumps are far less harmful to the environment.
- Examine Business Travel: We have hybrid vehicles for our sales reps who spend more time on the road for their role within the business. Employee travel to and from the workplace has been considered when offsetting our carbon emissions.
- Involve the supply chain: As part of our strategy to become a net zero business in the future, we take into account the supply chain’s efforts to be sustainable and environmentally conscious, ensuring that they are contributing to a smarter future.
- Carbon offsetting – Not all emissions can be prevented: We have had our findings verified by Carbon Neutral Business. Our emission generated – The money we have contributed will support carbon offsetting projects around the world to mitigate their impact.
- Communicate Plans and Successes: We keep all our staff and customer regularly updated with all our sustainability efforts.
- Stay informed – Our quality manager keeps us updated with all the relevant certifications, assessment platforms and government policies on climate change.
