Carbon Footprint – Follow us to a more sustainable future
Our sustainability team, John, Laura, Andrew and Alan have been working extremely hard obtaining our third carbon footprint for the company as part of its commitment to manage and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Our report quantifies the emissions arising from key business activities and enables us to select and focus on our carbon reduction actions. We have been working with Carbon Neutral Britain to offset our emissions and to build a strategy to reduce them over time.
Exciting News
We are so excited to announce we are a Carbon Neutral Company for the third consecutive year running. We have offset our carbon emissions with Carbon Neutral Britain- the UK’s Leading Carbon Offsetting Initiative. The money we have contributed will support carbon offsetting projects around the world.

About Our Carbon Report
Our carbon report was split into 3 scopes. Scope 1 covers direct emissions from the company’s combustion of fuel. Scope 2 covers indirect emissions from electricity use and scope 3 covers upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operation and end of life treatment of sold product.
We are working hard in the background on our carbon reduction strategy to continue to cut our carbon emissions in the future, collaborating with our factories and suppliers to ensure that we are doing everything we can.

We have gained ISO 14001 the international standard for environmental management systems. ISO 14001 is an environmental management system helping Smartlift in identifying, managing, monitoring, and controlling its environmental processes.
Audited every year by an independent third-party accessor ensures the highest standards and adherence the management system.
Receiving our ISO 14001 certification shows our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon emissions.
We have obtained ISO 9001 certification for our quality management systems. The standard is a gauge by businesses to show that they can consistently deliver goods and services that adhere to legal and customer standards while maintaining the highest quality.
